Course 6: Coaching & Developing Employees

This course teaches supervisors and managers how to coach employees in a way that strengthens performance, builds confidence, and supports long‑term development. Leaders learn how to understand employee motivation, ask effective coaching questions, give clear feedback, guide problem‑solving, and create a culture where continuous improvement is expected and supported.
Through real‑world examples and practical coaching models, participants learn how to develop employees’ skills, address performance gaps early, and build stronger, more capable teams. This course helps leaders shift from “fixing problems” to developing people — a core leadership responsibility.

Learning Objectives:
Participants will learn how to:

  • Understand what motivates employees and how to use that insight in coaching
  • Ask effective coaching questions that build ownership and critical thinking
  • Give clear, respectful feedback that improves performance
  • Guide employees through problem‑solving instead of solving problems for them
  • Coach employees to build new skills and confidence
